Association Kératocône - France
En 1998, des patients, pour la plupart atteints de kératocône, se sont regroupés dans le cadre d'une association régie par la loi de 1901. L’association, reconnue d’intérêt général, agit bénévolement pour améliorer la prise en charge globale de la maladie. Elle définit ses actions avec le concours du Centre de Référence National du Kératocône (CRNK) et propose aux patients différents outils d’information sur cette pathologie de la cornée.

NKCF (National Keratoconus Foundation)
Started in 1986 by a patient looking for more information on keratoconus. After receiving a gift of US $ 1,000,000 the NKCF became the first support group to inform the general public about keratoconus. It organizes regional meetings, publishes brochures and funds research. It sets the standard for support groups.

The Keratoconus And Self-Help Support Group  (U.K.)
This British group runs a very active forum and organizes regular meetings with ophthalmologists and patients. They also publish booklets and newsletters on keratoconus.

Keratoconus Australia
Started in 2000. Lots of information on keratoconus. Contacts with ophthalomologistes, holds meetings. Documents and videos on the website. No forum but questions will be answered.

Started in 2005. Information on keratoconus, numerous contacts with ophthalmologists, meetings. Documents and videos on line. Forum.

A must in German. Lots of information and a wonderfully well-structured forum.  The website managers hold meetings with specialists from time to time.

This very active British group aims to increase public awareness of corneal disorders, including keratoconus, post-Lasik ectasia, infections and trauma.
